When a college, any type of college, is accredited, it means that it has reached a high enough standard of education for that degree to become valid. Sadly, there are some online colleges that really are just degree mills, which means the degree you earn from that particular college, will not be recognized by other colleges and some employers. You can always check to see if the online college you want to attend is accredited by checking with the school its self, and even the state that it is in.
